Adrift

Adrift is one of my favourite sketchbook entries from the whole year-long challenge, a peaceful watercolour of a female mallard gliding across still autumn water. The paint blooms softly in warm browns, deep navy, and hints of violet, echoing the quiet richness of fall. This piece feels calm and familiar, a little reminder of life's simple, steady rhythms and the beauty found in reflection.
