Drawn in charcoal and pencil. this sketch captures a moment of stillness on an autumn evening. I had just finished a long day of work, and the drive home was aglow with copper ferns and purple asters booming along the roadside. As we came around a bend, a single female deer stood motionless in the golden light – calm, radiant, utterly still.
This piece is part of my Sketchbook Series – a curated collection of prints from a yearlong daily art practice. Each one reflects a real moment I paused to notice and record – not polished, but present. I hope it reminds you, as it reminded me, that beauty often waits quietly at the edge of our ordinary days.
Printed with archival ink on 255 gsm acid-free cotton paper, these prints are made to last and preserve the expressive, textural quality of the original drawing.
Available in two sizes:
5x7" and 8x10"
